Appeals and Complaints Policy

Appeal of Editorial Decisions

Authors who believe their manuscript was rejected due to an error in the review process may submit a formal appeal to the Editor-in-Chief within 30 days of the rejection notice.

To submit an appeal, authors must:

  1. Send a written appeal to editor.jecnam@gmail.com with the subject line: 'Appeal – Manuscript ID [your ID]'
  2. Provide specific, point-by-point responses explaining why the rejection decision was erroneous or the review was procedurally flawed
  3. Not submit new data or substantially revised content as part of the appeal. Appeals are evaluated solely on the basis of the original submission

Appeals are reviewed by a member of the Editorial Board who was not involved in the original decision. The outcome of the appeal is final. Disagreement with a reviewer's scientific opinion alone does not constitute grounds for appeal; appeals must be based on procedural errors or demonstrable misrepresentation of the submitted work.

Complaints

Complaints about editorial processes, reviewer conduct, or publication ethics may be submitted to the Editor-in-Chief at editor.jecnam@gmail.com. If the complaint concerns the Editor-in-Chief directly, it should be addressed to the Publisher at hmpublishers2@gmail.com.

All complaints are acknowledged within 10 working days and resolved within 60 days. Unresolved disputes may be escalated to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in accordance with their guidelines.
