About the Journal

The International Journal of Applied and Structural Mechanics(IJASM) having ISSN:2799-127X is a double-blind, peer-reviewed, open access journal that provides publication of articles in following scope.

Focus and Scope

The aim of this journal is to publish original and unpublished contributions that focus on both theoretical and applied research studies in structural mechanics and related disciplines, offering diversity and variety to its readers. The journal in each issue through publishing different articles, case studies, and critical reviews intends to present its audience with interdisciplinary themes such as:

  • Design of civil, building and mechanical structures
  • Analytical and computational modelling methods
  • Structural optimization and computation
  • Structural reliability and stability
  • Earthquake engineering
  • Seismic hazard studies
  • Earthquake scenarios
  • Computational mechanics
  • Rigid-body mechanics
  • Dynamic impact mechanics
  • Fracture mechanics
  • Effects of wind and wave loadings on structures
  • Effects of fire and blast on structures
  • Bridges and special structures
  • Concrete, masonry, steel and composite structures
  • Damage and failure mechanisms in materials and structures
  • Structure-fluid-soil interaction
  • Structural repairing and strengthening methods
  • Structural analysis and modeling

The Journal welcomes the submission of manuscripts that meet the general criteria of significance and scientific excellence. Papers will be published shortly after acceptance. All articles published in IJASM are double-blind, peer-reviewed.

The International Journal of Applied and Structural Mechanics is published Bimonthly (one volume per year) by HM Journals.

Types of contribution

Regular articles: These should describe new and carefully confirmed findings, and experimental procedures should be given in sufficient detail for others to verify the work. The length of a full paper should be the minimum required to describe and interpret the work clearly.

Short Communications: A short Communication is suitable for recording the results of complete small investigations or giving details of new models or hypotheses, innovative methods, techniques or apparatus.

Reviews: Submissions of reviews and perspectives covering topics of current interest are welcome and encouraged. Reviews should be concise and no longer than 4-6 printed pages (about 12 to 18 manuscript pages). Reviews manuscripts are also peer-reviewed.
